(Assistant) Merchandising Officer – Fast Moving Consumer Goods

Our client is a well-established food distributor representing a number of prestigious Japanese FMCG/food brands and having good market share in Hong Kong.
In line with their business development, they now require a responsible and detail-minded talent to join their team as Merchandising Officer. The caliber with less years of relavant working experiences will be considered as Assistant Merchandising Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Handle merchandising & sourcing matters, such as purchasing, suppliers, inventory;
- Responsible for logistics/warehouse operation and stock-take operation regularly;
- Coordinate in purchasing operation with Japan or overseas offices;
- Handle shipping cost calculation, quality control on products importing to Hong Kong;
- Assist in marketing events & regular stock operation.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in buying/purchasing or business relating discipline;
- At least 5 years working experience in purchasing/product control in F&B / Retailing;
- Good command in spoken English and Cantonese;
- Excellent language literacy (both spoken and written) in Japanese is highly preferable;
- Proficient in MS Office, Sage Accpac knowledge an advantage;
- Detailed-minded and good problem solving skills with strong sense of responsibility
