Policy and Market Researcher / Manager

Our client is a well-known apparel and leading player in an integrated supply chain from raw material production, manufacturing to retailing. To further advance their business with longer term strategic planning, they are now looking for a caliber as a Policy and Market Researcher to join their dynamic team and support the C-suite management team accordingly.
With more years of relevant experience, the candidate can be considered as Senior Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- By working closely with senior management, the positions take the initiatives in development of thought-provoking insights through case studies, news, policies, Thought Leadership journals and expert interviews, with particular focus on China.
- Involves research utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research tools, with a deep understanding of both the history and current geopolitical landscapes.
- Coordinate with business management to determine research objectives, conduct research of intended subject matter according to business needs and ensure delivery.
- Identify and evaluate the market trends and patterns with report finding documentation/presentation.
- Utilize professional sources to find and extract pertinent information with insights.
- Address viewpoints and research reports that bring insights to life for C-suite audience.
Requirements:
- University degree or above in social science, political science, finance, journalism, finance or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8-year experience in publishing & presenting Thought Leadership in the form of articles, journals, reports or interviews, with focus on China business & geopolitics.
- Strong research project management skills; able to work independently and collaborate/communicate with different stakeholders.
- Excellent English & Good Chinese writing proficiency
- Confident, proactive with effective presentation skills, analytical consideration and conceptual thinking
- Maintain an external network of relevant industry experts.
- Business travelling is required.
